The Team

Henry Emsley-Standeven

Henry is the Director of TBM. Henry designed our mouthpieces and has brought this business to life, dealing with suppliers, web design, sourcing finance and more. Henry is currently studying Chemical Engineering and used knowledge he has gained in his degree so far to design our mouthpieces.

Henry's banding career began in 2019 when he joined Tewit's Intermediate Band where he played cornet. He then made the switch to Tenor Horn and was promoted to Tewit Youth Senior Band. In 2021, Henry joined the Tewit Silver Band and remained in the Tewit organisation until departing for university. He now plays Solo Horn with the University of Lancaster Music Society Brass Band.

George Fearnley

George is TBM's Tenor Horn artist. George has played an essential role throughout the protopying process of our Tenor Horn mouthpiece offering key insights and utilising his great depth of knowledge.

George Fearnley comes from North Yorkshire where since the age of 14 was the Solo Horn for Tewit Silver Band and Tewit Youth Band for 5 years. While playing with Tewit, he also led the Training Band segment of the youth band for 2 years.

In September 2023, George began his studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music where he joined the Tongwynlais Temperance Band on Solo Horn. In January 2025 he then joined The Cory Band on First Horn where he plays today.
